Under development for nearly thirty years, this unique system is capable of installing up to twenty conduits, two tracer wires and up to two warning tapes simultaneously to depths of 2 metres, at the unprecedented rate of up to 800m per hour. The plow works in conjunction with a powerful winch truck. With the help of sophisticated technology, the tip of the Plow blade forms and clears the laying bed at specific depths up to 2 metres. Then, using a patented guidance system, a cable chute is dragged along the bed. A draw bar of 140 tons on the blade separates and compresses soil and rocks and creates a smooth storage shaft. The cable, pipe, or duct can then be inserted into the storage shaft with no risk of damage.

Unlike open trenching systems, the slot closes quickly and is easily compacted with minimal impact on the environment. Additionally, each wheel of the SpiderPlow adjusts independently, both vertically and horizontally. It's an extraordinary, spider-like configuration which allows the plow to function easily on steep embankments, behind and over roadside barriers, in narrow pathways, through wet and swampy areas, along railways, in fact, almost anywhere.
